Disney Springs: a new old-fashioned district at Disney WorldDisney habitually says of its attractions, “It’s all about the story.” The company won’t build a ride, won’t design a setting for a character meet-and-greet, won’t even mold a character topiary for Epcot’s garden festival until that feature has a story. So when the resort discarded its plan for a redesign of Downtown Disney a few years ago, it brought in its Imagineers to develop a new story and an expansive makeover for the dining, shopping and entertainment district.

Remember when your local newspaper was THE trusted source for news? The News was dropped on our doorstep. It’s really no different today. People still want their news to come to them but today our trust is not something we should give lightly. The relationship with local publishers and community is based in trust, after all, we’ve been friends for a long time. Where we choose to consume content and share the news has really not changed much. It’s always been someplace close to “me”.
Our goal is to bring people together around their communities yesterday and today. There are plenty of websites that have static individual hometown “pages”, but here at iGrewUpIn.com, this content is more meaningful and interactive. We have added tools through Bloom, that visualize content availability. We use maps, the deep connection of consumers to location and users local identity to retrace their past and connect with the present.
